The book narrates the immigration, the socio-economic, cultural and political organization of over 60,000 Arcadians who settled in Australia during the years 1953-1980. It records the stony years of exodus from the ancestral lands, the painful initial awareness of a culturally unknown industrial environment, the sacrifices, the daring commitments and the achievements of those who laboured and sustained in solidarity and perseverance the values and the ethos that they brought from Arcadia. Their children and grandchildren will value this publication as a testament to their forebears and a gift of love in their memory that will last for ever (κτήμα ες αεί).
