Music and words from Greek and Arabic lands

Synopsis: The Greek and Arabic worlds have been in contact for millennia on the shores of the Mediterranean and neighbouring lands, each creating multiple regional cultures.

This event presents a selection of songs and poetry which illustrate this diversity in unity, unity in diversity, featuring the Andalus Arabic Choir and orchestra directed by Ghada Daher-Elmowy, and songs from many parts of the Greek world performed by Marina Thiveos.
